Connect Bybit
Your record starts the day you connect. We don't import past trades: everything on it is something we watched happen.
Make a read-only key on Bybit
- Choose Create New Key, then System-generated API Keys.
- Set the permission to Read-Only.
- Tick the read boxes for the accounts you trade on: Unified Trading, Assets, and Contract if you use it.
Tie the key to our address
In the key's settings, limit it to this IP address. Then the key only works from our server.
2.28.108.102
Bybit deletes a key that is not tied to an IP address after three months. Tie the key to our address and it does not expire.
What Bybit lets us read
- See what your account is worth
- Price what you hold in dollars
- Tell deposits and withdrawals apart from gains and losses
- Read your individual trades
Bybit tells us what a key is allowed to do. We refuse any key that can trade or withdraw, so we never hold one that can move your money.
The secret is stored encrypted and never shown again, to you or anyone.
