How it works

The whole site on one page, in plain words. If something here is unclear, that is our bug — tell us.

What this is

ProvePnL is a public registry of crypto trading records. Every number comes from data we read ourselves — the blockchain, an exchange's own public board, or a trader's read-only key — never from a screenshot. Anyone can check any trader for free, with no account. Traders and funds claim their record once; from then on the numbers update themselves.

We are the referee, not an exchange. We don't run trades, take a cut of anything we rank, or sell places on the board. The site is free, for everyone.

Three ways to claim your record

1 · Sign with your wallet

For on-chain traders. Sign one message: no keys, and no funds move. We read the record from the chain itself. Some chains publish an account's past (Hyperliquid, dYdX); a Solana wallet is tracked from the day you sign.

Hyperliquid · Ethereum · Solana · dYdX

2 · Prove your copy-trading profile

For lead traders on exchanges that publish copy-trading stats. Put a short code in your exchange profile and we read it back from the exchange's public data: it proves the profile is yours and puts its record on your page. With your identity confirmed, it can earn the ✓.

Binance · OKX · KuCoin · Bybit · Gate · HTX · MEXC

3 · Connect a read-only key

For everyone else. A key that can only read, encrypted with a key held outside our database. The record starts the day you connect: there is no history import.

61 exchanges, listed below

Connect an exchange →

Then confirm who you are: put a short code on a channel only you can edit, such as your website, X, YouTube or Telegram. A proven record plus a confirmed identity is what earns the ✓.

Compatible today — 61 exchanges

This list is live, not hand-written. Every exchange on it can value an account, price its holdings and show us deposits — the floor an honest record needs — and passed our reachability check 6.3h ago. When you connect, we test your key live before anything is stored. An exchange joins the moment it clears those checks, and one that stops responding drops off until it recovers.

"No trade list": the exchange doesn't give a read-only key the individual trades, so the page shows balances and returns only.

On the bench, re-checked daily: Alpaca, BYDFi, BitMEX, Bitbns, CoinEx — reachable in general, not from our servers right now. They return automatically when they are.

On-chain accounts — Hyperliquid, dYdX, and any wallet on Ethereum or Solana — never need a key: they verify with a signature. We also read the public copy-trading boards of Binance, OKX, KuCoin, Bybit, Gate, HTX and MEXC, and GMX on Arbitrum and Avalanche, without any key. Don't see your exchange? Ask — if it publishes deposits and balances, it usually clears our checks within a day of us looking.

What the ✓ means

A record is in one of three states, and the difference is the whole point:

  • Unclaimed — a public record we track. The numbers are real; the owner is unknown. A nickname on it was set on the exchange and is not checked by us.
  • Owner proven · identity not linked — someone proved they control the account (a wallet signature, a read-only key or a code in their exchange profile), but hasn't linked a public channel, so who they are isn't confirmed. A page can stay this way: the record needs a proof, only the ✓ needs a public channel. When a confirmation is waiting for our review, the page says since when.
  • ✓ Verified — both: the record is proven and the identity is confirmed on a channel they control. Only this state carries the ✓.

The ✓ cannot be bought. If a page misattributes you, you have a right of reply — write to us.

What your page shows

  • PnL Score — one number, 0–100, blending your 30-day, 1-year and all-time windows (30 / 40 / 30). It rewards consistency and track length, and one lucky trade can't top it. It is measured against a snapshot of the board taken once a day, so it moves when your record moves, not when other records come and go. Scoring method →
  • Returns with drawdown beside them, always. 7 days, 30 days, 1 year, all-time.
  • Month by month — every month on the record as a grid, red as loud as green, with the year's max drawdown pinned beside it. A blank month means no record for that month, never a hidden one.
  • Capital as a band ($10k–100k), never the exact balance — unless you switch dollars on.
  • A share card, once your page is ✓ Verified: an image you can post, carrying your @handle, the window, the drawdown and the date.

What you control — and what you don't

You choose

  • Display name, picture and tagline
  • Whether dollar amounts show, or only percentages
  • Whether your capital band shows
  • Whether individual trades are visible

Nobody can change

  • Returns, drawdown and the score
  • Your @handle — it's what the ✓ is bound to
  • Any month of the record, the bad ones included

You can remove your page at any time, yourself. Your name, channels and settings are erased and any exchange key is deleted. A record that only existed because of you is deleted too; a record an exchange or a public board publishes anyway stays as an unclaimed public record. While a page is up, nobody can edit or trim what it shows.

The public side

  • Leaderboard — ranked by score, never by dollars or popularity. Nothing paid goes into the order.
  • Check a trader — search anyone. If they're not here, one click starts a public request for them to prove it. A wallet that isn't on the board opens as an unlisted preview.
  • Most wanted — the traders people are asking to prove it.
  • Pulse — what the tracked accounts are doing, with the count and the median, not just the winners.
  • Funds — the same verification, for funds.

Security

What a read-only key can and cannot do here.

What we never ask for

  • Permission to trade or withdraw. On Binance, OKX, Bybit and KuCoin we read the key's permissions from the exchange and refuse any key that can trade or withdraw. Other exchanges don't show us a key's permissions, so we ask you to confirm it is read-only before anything is stored.

What a read-only key can do

  • Read balances, positions and trades — what your page publishes.

Worst case

A breach would expose trade history, never money. That is why read-only keys are a normal thing to share: tax tools hold them for millions of people.

How we hold it

  • Encrypted with a key held outside the database, so a stolen database exposes no keys. Decrypted only to talk to the exchange.
  • Never logged.
  • Restrict your key to our server's address, 2.28.108.102, and a leaked copy is useless anywhere else.
  • Yours to end: revoke it at the exchange any time, or remove your page and ours is deleted.
  • We can't quietly edit a record either: the scoring code is published on the Scoring method page, with a SHA-256 of the whole board every day.
  • If there is ever a breach, we disclose it in public within 72 hours.

Bybit requires an IP restriction on keys that don't expire, so the safe setup is also the normal one there.

Independence

ProvePnL is free: no sponsors, no paid tier, nothing for sale. These rules bind us from the day that changes, and they are published so you can hold us to them.

  1. Money never touches the record. Ranks come from the published scoring code, and a hash of the whole board publishes every day. Nobody can edit a rank by hand; there is no override.
  2. Nothing on the board is for sale — not a rank, not a place, not the ✓. If sponsors ever come, they buy labeled slots outside the ranked list, marked "Sponsor" where they appear.
  3. No steering. A trader's page links only to the exchanges that trader uses, all treated the same. Referral commissions come from all of them or none, never as an exclusive; a referral link says so, and it never affects a score.
  4. Exchanges can pay us in three ways only: labeled ad slots, referrals on identical terms, and official data access. Never listing fees, removal fees or exclusives, and no single sponsor may exceed 30% of our revenue. An exchange gets better coverage by opening its data, not by paying — see Exchange openness.
  5. Prizes follow the public score. Competition rules are published before a competition opens, anyone can reproduce the results, and a sponsor can fund a pool but never define the scoring.
  6. No invented numbers. No invented counts, no seeded social proof, and no bad month deleted because someone asked.

Verification, never recommendation. Nothing here is investment advice; trading is risky; past performance is not a promise. Privacy · Terms
